Wow, Variable Geo and Steam Hearts getting rereleased on modern systems. I remember playing through Steam Hearts to rip out all the animations. That might have been my first time fiddling with PC98 emulation.

They clearly don't want a repeat of the Wii U where focusing on the games first caused people to think the U is the same as its predecessor with a new peripheral. Altho MK9 already looks very similar to 8, so i'm not sure what more can be done.

Nintendo dumb to copy the playbook Sony and Microsoft use: Focusing entirely on how the new console looks and ignoring the fact most of the money and wow power comes from how the games look.
